208 NEARBY LP review (Big Neck Records)

I heard roughly 4 seconds from the 208 record and ordered it. That guitar tone is what some punk bands dream of. Horribly violent, raw, and in the fucking red. Shoestring headband crust-overlords just got det-on-fucking-a-ted. 208 is the type of band that would play Bernie's in Butthole Ohio (circa 2002) and there would be an absurd amount of cocaine in the building paired with a raging after-party. Most importantly, the experience would be transcendent. This record is legend level shit AND it's from Detroit which makes it pedigree legend level shit. Fuck all the cornball posturing granola rock bands. This is total blown-out, crude, bluesy rock and roll. Flame on, shine on, and flame out. Thank you for this gem.
