Government Alpha/ Coalminer "dead light miasma" split cassette review (Orb Tapes)

Government Alpha is one of those projects that has sheer volume of releases and they are all ripping. If you want to experience the sound of humanity getting sheared in half by lasers and then ground into compostable materials this is the cassette for you. Better yet, imagine getting each cell plucked from your body by some horrific technology and then getting painfully rearranged in a total mutant manner. Totally disorienting psychedelic listening in the best possible way.

I am not familiar with Coalminer but I grew up in the eastern Butthole of Ohio where people want to burn coal to this day. Coalminer, the project, surprised me with vocals deep into the track. Otherwise, violent, harsh with tons of rumble, essentially the sounds of destroying the earth or blowing up mountains. Cool project with enough dips, twists, and Tron cycle sounds to keep me actively listening.
